Quebec City Day 2/Adventure Caravans Day 4

We had a free day so we went back to Quebec City with our new friends, Evelyn and Sam.

The New City is several hundred feet above the Old City (both are several hundred years old).
The French who built the first city here felt that it was not safe from attack so they built a new city up on the "rock".
Now there are steps....

...and a Funiculaire, a type of gondola, to bring you to the top.

Evelyn and Sam bought a print from the woman in the center.

The Chateau Frontenac is behind this square in the upper city.

quebec City was declared a World Heritage Center by UNESCO and this statue and garden commemorate that.

It would be a very difficult bike ride from the old city to the new and a very exciting ride back!

These three houses and their gardens stand as an osais in the center of tall buildings.

What a great way to spend a day. Debbie and I live under a silver lining with nothing but good weather during the days and rain only at night, at least most of the time.

Ciao, Frank
